Blackbird Singin' in the Dead of Night

I don't think I've been waiting all my life for this moment to arrive (*cough* thank you, Sir Paul), but arrive it did. Officially, in some respects, I have garnered a few freelance jobs that actually pay me in real cashola, not just wishes and dreams. To say I'm thrilled is an understatement.

While not riding my ego star across the galaxy of life, I take time out for interviews, such as one I had with a LTCI (Long Term Care Insurance) company. Having stalked me via Monster, said company sent an email to which I replied with "surely, set me up with a little interview lovin'". What I ended up entering into had nothing to do with face to face interaction, but a screen and the power of Microsoft Office...I think you can put the two together.

The Power Point(PP). In days of yore, the PP was a valuable tool to read off of during in-class presentations. When I look back on my group projects, the fondest of memories involves my laptop and shouts of "make it fade in!"; however, when faced with sleeping an extra few hours or wearing a suit while a man in a striped tie goes over the background of his company (which, to be honest, you probably should have already researched before going into the interview...and I did), the zzz's overpower the PP.

At least I have a second interview.
